DATE: 5/26/96 well this is my boot collection. as you may notice i am rather limited in the bands (well not really any more but hey what the hell) i have well that is because i do this purely as a hobby and i'm not going to trade bands i do not like. that simple. ok you may also notice that i do not have vids on here that is because i do not have two video decks i think enough of to dub on so i don't do it much. (on the rare occasions i do i have to get friends to do it and that really sucks.) humm what else well that is it for this so on to my requirements for trades and what i charge if you have nothing (i really prefer to trade and charge a little bit more than cost to reflect this sorry to all you diehards out there who say that is lame.) http://www.pobox.com/~tanarch tanarch@pobox.com 901.644.0553 please look at the clock before calling and make it before 10pm CST and after 4pm. e-mail me or call for my address trades and how i make my tapes: 1) NO high speed dubbing it fucks the music to much 2) use type II media or better 3) give me a track listing (and an acurate one is even better :)) 4) no Dolby unless requested 5) do not send cases insert cards labels etc. unless we agree to for some reason. 6) use maxel unless something else is agreed upon ahead of time 7) unless otherwise agreed on i will send tapes when i get tapes from you the 1st time or two we trade (i'm tired of geting riped off) 8) i use a 90 min tape unless you want a 100 min show. 9) i will put as much as will fit on a tape so go on and fill them if you like. 10) i will trade for origional CD's if you have something I want 11) tell me if you are not in the us or canada that sometimes changes things things other than boot tapes i will trade for: origional cd's (bootleg comercial it doesn't mater if i want it) rosery beads (don't ask it's just something i like) buying: $8 1st tape $7 each aditional tape. that includes everything. tape postage mailer etc. for anything beyond this refer to the above info. what i want: specificly right now i want any TN or Carbondale IL shows from the last NIN tour. i am also interested in any NiN small club dates. i am also looking for Lords of Acid and Alpha Team. Henry Rollins talking gigs any tour beyond that just send your list and i'll look at it although occasionally telling me what is special about a given show helps. quality ratings (of the recording not the performance): 10 beautiful you will listen to it over and over again 9 little rough but still very nice 8 slightly above average very listenable 7 still not bad if cool material 6 well i hope you were there or you probably will not like this 5-1 well if you usually listen to your music from a min. of 1000 feet turned up louder than your amp can handle with a metal garbage can on your head go for it if not skip it unless it is vital misc my times are not exact some are guesses and some are lifted from other lists but none are timed by me. so please leave me a few min. to play with ie do not ask me to add a 15 min recording to a 80 min tape and absolutely expect it to be there it might be it might not. as a general rule my times are long but if you do ask me to put 95 min of music on a 90 min tape then don't complain if the 2nd recording gets cut. all tapes come with a custom printed cover. --------------------------------------------------------------- Tori Amos Tori The Fox - New Orleans 1994 well this is pretty clear but has a little bit of background noise from a radio broadcast due to bad dubing at some pointover all very nice RATING 8 80 min 7/1/94 Pittsburg, PA well this is an audience recording pretty average of tori boots i have heard but a bit above the norm as far as the over all goes. i do not have a set list. RATING 9 80 min Y Kant Tori Read - Tori's band prior to going solo well it's really bad 80's glam rock but sort of funny anyway RATING 10 45 min Under The Covers 1992-1994 this is all live cover songs includes many that you would never guess from her RATING 8-9 45 min October 5, 1994 Milwaukee, WI Riverside Theater this is by far my favorite tori performance. very clean very nice. i like this one alot. RATING 9 40min The Last Temptation of Tori Berlin,Germany 4.9.94 this is a CD boot made from German radio broadcast. RATING 10 80min N.Y.C.,NY 1994 four songs clean tape over all good performance RATING 10 10 min Littel Earthquakes Demos this is a perfect recording as far as the recording goes. mine has a little bit of tape his but it is still very worth geting. RATING 10 30 min New Haven CT 6/94 very good recording RATING 10 80 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Bad Religion KROQ X-Mas 1994 good recording quality. includes an x-mas medley RATING 9 30 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Alice Cooper Freak Out i have no idea when this was recorded where it was recorded or anythign else really it is studio stuff so the sound is clean it is released by Creative Sound and is not a very good performance but a purest might want it. i assume this to be all studio 1 shot demo stuff; there are sounds of squeels from mics and instrunts come in almost at random. RATING 10 Youth Culture Lifetime Cassette Service - this is a tape created by The United Methodist Board of Decipleship as a teaching tool well it's just your everyday interview of Allice Cooper by religion boy neet little interview. Remind me and i'll photocopy the hand out that came with it. just as a funny side note the 2nd part is Kool and the Gang. and the back side is about euthenasia. RATING 10 Modern Rock Live this was a live call in radio show where people could ask questions. it was recorded the day before trash came out but i really don't rememebr when that was. RATING 10 90 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Beatles Help Outakes well this is all studio stuff some of it seems a bit off and some is prety much like the final version. RATING 8-9 30min -------------------------------------------------------------- Black Sabath Academy of Music 10/22/17 this is a cool show but a bit muddy sound detracts from it some. RATING 8 60min War Pigs Paris, Francs 12/20/70 good show. the highs a a little muted on this one. RATING 8 60 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Willian Burroughs Naropa Inst. Boulder, CO 1977 live reading/talking. clean recording for the most part RATING 8 45 min Naropa Inst. Boulder, CO 7/19/77 live reading/talking this is different from the above. it's nto quite as clean but still quite listenable. RATING 7 35 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Dead Kennedys 6/16/84 this is a sound board recording very nice quality recording several coments between songs. I'm also tacking on 10/8/80 at the end which is a FM recording of them live. It is also high quality but I have no track list and am not sure if 100% of it is there. I would be willing to only tape 6/16/84 if you like it's approx 60 min. RATING 9 90 min London Polytech 11/26/82 pretty clean not sure what the source is but it is a good show. Jello has to keep asking people to step back after the baricades fall down that's a unique one for this one. RATING 8 60 min Boston Mass 1968 this tape is muddy as hell and there is little talk between songs. it's a pretty decent show but you might want to grab something else first RATING 7 55 min Vancouver, B.C. 6/6/70 very clean show. not much talk between songs but the music is great. RATING 9 85 min Jim Morrison Studio Poetry Reading 12/8/70 this is clean there is a little hiss but nothing to anoying. RATING 9 25 min see also Jimi Hendrix at the sceen club San Francisco The Matrix Club 3/10/67good recording very littel croud noise some hiss good performance. RATING 9 40 min Stockholm Tales/ In The Matrix, SF not the same set list as the other matrix show not sure if it is the same show. this one is a littel clearer. if it is the same show it has been cut though. RATING 9 80 min Toronto Pop Festival & other rarities well let's just say i have better. it's not so much that teh recordings are bad (tape hiss is prevelent in parts) but that it sounds almost as if there was no sound guy (or sound check for that mater) on some of these. over all get something else first. if you have it all well this is not a bad choice like i said it sounds like it was just a case of bad equipment/mixing so there is not a better version around RATING 7-8 80 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Bob Dylan Finjan Club - Montreal, Canada July 2, 1962 club is an acurate definition of this venu if sound means anything. very cool ambience to it. really quiet only sound is between songs sound of clapping. RATING 10 60min -------------------------------------------------------------- Guns N' Roses "Live" Japanese EP good recording RATING 9 25 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Jimi Hendrix Live at The Sceen Club, NYC March 6,1968 very cool blues set has Jim Morrison on 3 songs doing vocals. if you like hendri's bluesier stuff this is great if you are looking for loud electric guitars get something else RATING 10 90min Demos & Unreleased good clean sets various sources a fun listen RATING 9-10 90min San Francisco 1/1/70 pretty good alot like some of the recent hendrix live albums in quality. very electric but on the blues side of things. comes from a record. RATING 7-8 85 min -------------------------------------------------------------- Joy Division Holland 1-18-80 this is a recording from a small venu (or so the person who traded it to me said.) It sounds like it may have been dubed from a record as there is some scrath between songs. Over all good quality. RATING 8 55 min Warsaw Demos May 3/4 1978 this recording is amazing. very clear. by all means get it. RATING 10 35 min Amsterdam 1.11.80 this is a very good recording. very clear no noise this is a vood set as well. very clar. possible sound board and if not the taper had an amazing spot to tape. RATING 10 45 min Parl Harbor 1977 this has a more punk sound than the later stuff very good clear recording. RATING 10 40 min Out of Tune 1980 sort of a newage sounding recording very clean good overall. RATING 9 25 min Komakino, London 1980 punkish musical sound dreary singing that i love and just does not make it into some of their live stuff very good no audience noise problems RATING 10 45 min Atmosphere 1980 except that the mixing is somewhat off and muted this is like a studio recording RATING 10 35 min Something Else (BBC) 2 songs good recording RATING 8 15 min Warsaw this is another boot /w the same name as the other Warsaw tape I have it also has 1 more song that is probably from the warsaw demos as well as 5 demos from 7/18/77 and 4 from an unknown date. RATING 9 60 min --------------------------------------------------------------- KMFDM Cincinatti OH 6/3/95 at some point this has been recorded to loud and has become distorted. i do not know if the origional is like this or not. my copy has the levels right so it happened before mine. RATING 9 80 min --------------------------------------------------------------- Metalica Buffalo NY 6/18/88 well this is typicalof what i have heard of 80's Metalica boots. unfortunatly i think all early 80's Metalica boots are pretty shitty. the instruments seem to just comeout of teh distortion from nowhere. and the lyrics are buried in the mix all to often. if you have other Metalica from this time you will probably like this one. RATING 7 60min DEMO #1 1982 DEMO this is pretty cool. alot like garage days in quality. RATING 8 15min DEMO #2 1983 DEMO W/MUSTAINE over all cool. RATING 9 10 min No Life Till Leather studio. clean. a little tape his is the only reason this is not a 10. also refered to as 1982 demo w/ Mustane RATING 9 40 min Kill 'Em All/Ride the Lightning Demos clean clear recording good quality recording. pretty damn good performance and mixing as well. RATING 10 50 min --------------------------------------------------------------- Ministry New Orleans 92 from the psalm 69 tour pretty cool really not sound board but still clean and the crowd noise is not annoying RATING 8 70 min Kill For Kicks Universal Ampitheatre 12/27/92 good clean recording. RATING 8 80 min Power Department very clean show there are momentary breaks where the cd changes tracks but you have to expect that on some of these. RATING 10 80 min 1/1/90 good clean sound. very good. this has jello biafra doing die for oil suckers and singing on one song at the end. this may just be the audio from "in case you didn't feel like..." RATING 10 65 min --------------------------------------------------------------- The Misfits Hitsville - Passaic, NY Dec 25,1981 (Christmas) an overall good show similar quality to Live Evil not much in the way of specific voices but musically very noisy (alot of it intintional i assume) RATING 8 35 min --------------------------------------------------------------- Moby June 5, 1995 audience recording this is great does some covers (free bird comes to mind) composes a song "improv" really cool (and i am not even a Moby fan) oh and he gets a keyboard player from the audience for a song that's sort of cool (no set list) RATING 9 80 min --------------------------------------------------------------- Alanis Morrisette Seattle WA 7/18/95 good recording some hiss some audience noise. the performance is not bad, but a little off. --------------------------------------------------------------- NINE INCH NAILS Lucky Pierre trent plays keyboards on pre-nin bands. this is This is a comb of an '84 single and an '88 EP. RATING 8 30 min (approx not timed) Exotic Birds Demos well these are all demos very synth popy oriented dance music cheasy as hell but funny. i just got a new copy and it is much better quality. trent only did keyboards on this i believe. RATING 10 30 min Exotic Birds EP the same songs as above but released as an EP. a little better production both exotic birds are pretty synth poop oriented. but both do have some cool keyboard things. i believe this is another keyboard only thing for trent. RATING 10 30 min Demos & Remixes this is my favorite nin boot's it's 5 demos from 88 halo 00 and some prom stuff including the opal mix (aka go-go mix) of hlah fucking great RATING 10 70 min Suck (aka Halo 00) Suck from Lollapalooza (sound board) and Supernaut with original Trent vocals i'd just get demos & remixes but oh well RATING 10 15 min Lee Pull off Nails this is very rare as far as i know it is from a spiral blue 10" 2 song ep. it has live versions of sin and get down make love. by the sound quality i assume it was recorded from a virgin (or nearly virgin) copy of the ep. the recording quality is amazing as well. RATING 10 15 NIN & Adam Ant 3 tracks from the 2nd of the 2 NIN Adam Ant dates very good qualiuty. RATING 9 75min Hamering It Home London 6-24-94 a true sound board recording this is amazing the best live NIN boot I have ever heard. Get this one first. 1st set list. RATING 10 80 min Coming Down Fast New Orleans LA 5/5/94 one of my favorites RATING 9 80 min St.Louis 9/11/94 RATING 9* 75 min A Thousand Pleasures LA 10/11/94 3rd set list RATING 8 100 min Nails in My Head fairly average recording RATING 8 80 min Boston Gardens 12/3/94 this is a DAT taped audience event not on CD pretty cool and has some really cool comments to the audience RATING 8 100 min Iowa 11/6/94 also a DAT taped event not on CD not bad I recommend getting Boston first though RATING 8 100 min Painful Convictions two cd set it's a clone of purest feeling most of demos and remixes and woodstock over all i'd just recomend geting the seperate recordings but hey it's up to you do as you like. RATING 10 160 min Woodstock the sound recording is pretty much perfect as it is sound board. there are a few breaks lots of talking and all that only complaint is that the set list was cut short for woodstock. RATING 10 80 min Glamour Death Great Woods, MA 9/16/95 this is a cd boot of the NIN/Bowie outside tour. this one is very clear. check it out if you want one from the outside show. RARING 9 80min Closer to Trent The Meadows Hartford CT 9/14/95 (if you see this listed as another date please ask the person to change it i was told by the taper (who i origionally got this from) that 9/15/95 is wrong for this recording) this is from the nin/bowie tour. the bass is totaly washed away but the rest of it is very good (thus no lower rating). it does have several songs with the 2 of them together, but unless you have all the others i highly recomend somethign else. RATING 7 90 min Las Vegas 3/14/94 i have better shows. this has Heresy. the lows are a bit buried there but back farther in the mix than they should be. RATING 8 80 min see Sick Mother Fuckers for a Robin Finck side project Children of the Night 10/21/95 Shoreline Amphitheatre Mountain View CA soundboard recording this is amazing get this if you want a NiN/Bowie show. RATING 10 75 min Toronto 9/20/95 another NiN/Bowie Show good over all a little crowd noise but no distinct voices. RATING 9 80 min Murfreesboro TN 1/30/95 well it's a good recording but there are anoying breaks in it throughout. i am looking for a better copy of this one. RATING 7 70 min --REMIXES & MEGAMIXES-- Erase Me These Are songs that trent has remixed for various people as well as a few remixes of NiN stuff RATING 10 100 min Happiness In Slavery Remixes 2 unreleased studio mixes could be demos or fixed rejects i have no idea i recently foubd out thes were actually on a promo somewhere. RATING 8 15 min Rusty Nails non stop mega mix of 21 NIN songs all blended overlayed and just generally a neat ass production recorded live in a club from a line recording. RATING 10 65 min Rusty Nails II another nonstop mega mix this one has some stuff that is not on any of the albums or singles i can only assume they are origionals by the hitman. particularly nice is something blue. RATING 10 65 min Playing w/ Nails well this is a Sam-I-Am meag mix. It's not the greatest work in the world (Sam won't even dub it any more. You can also hear some volume fluctuations as well as pitch change. RATING 7 30 min Nailed In Well a more recent mix By Sam-I-Am better than playing w/ by far a few fluctuations in volume but over all very good. 2 mega mixes in reality. both have intros by a radio dj. RATING 9 60 min March of the Reptile this is 2 seperate mixes march of the pigs (really big mix) and reptile (confusion mix) both are 30 min and i will break the set. these are cool mixes if a bit long. RATING 9 60 min Wish (wooden boy remix) & nin mini mega mix this is a double that has 2 seperate mixes. one is an extended version of wish and the other is a (as the name sais) mega mix. RATING 9 30 min the art of self destruction total remix/megamix of the art of self destruction RATING 9 30 min Closer to Hogs nine inch richards ok well technically this is not really a boot but well i wanted to add it. it is a country cover of closer there are 3 versions (very similar)tell me if you want 1 or all 3. RATING 10 5-15 min (1 or all 3) Head Like a Hole Castle Mix v 2.0 well it's an average extended mix remixed by Res Extensa 7/95 RATING 10 10 min God Is Dead 2 mixes done by Mr. BPM and friends. these are somewhere between remixes (there are new sounds) and mega mixes (multiple songs to make the one). these are very good mixes in my oppinion. i have the master straight from the computer so it is very clean. RATING 10 15min --INTERVIEWS-- Trent Picture Disk very clear interview circa european tour to support PHM sound check in background RATING 10 35 min Disturbed this is a set of 2 interviews done by somone in england over the phone to trent in the us. there is way to much background noise and it is hard to listen to for this reason. i personally think it is worth it because he sais things on this cd that i have yet to hear before or after.
